Past Career Winners
The Ohioana Career Award is the oldest and most prestigious of the awards given by the Ohioana Library Association. The association's first Career (Medal) Award was given in 1942. The Ohioana Career Award is presented each year to a native Ohioan for his or her outstanding professional accomplishments in the arts and humanities. The recipient of the Career Award is an honored guest at Ohioana Day and must be present to receive the award.

CRITERIA
The recipient must be a native born Ohioan.
The recipient must be present at the awards ceremony to receive the Career Award.
The recipient should have a statewide, national and/or international reputation for outstanding professional accomplishments, productivity, and contributions in an area of the arts and humanities.
